Andrew | Newborn

Andrew!  Just over a week old and such a cute little man :)  He slept through most of this session, but opening his eyes once in a while to see what was going on around him.  So cuddly and calm! Would you look at those lips?!

 

 

So nice to meet you Andrew, and good to see Mommy & Daddy again too! :)

Mr. D | Newborn

I spent the morning with this sweet little man not too long ago :)  So so tiny and so curious about what was going on around him.  Mom & Dad were great with him, knowing exactly what he needed when a wimper came along.  Take a peek!

Sidenote about the above right photo - I LOVE these swaddle-me's. Baby D looked like he was in the most comfortable cacoon :)  Or maybe it was because Daddy was holding and talking to him!

 

Such a good little guy! Happy to have met him :)

Meet Joselyn & Lilly - they are just the sweetest.  Joselyn is 2 and greeted with me lots of hugs and chatter :) A perfect way to start a session.  She introduced me to "her baby" Lilly LOL, she is going to be an amazing big sister.  Well...she already is really...

*Side note - I love black and white photos, but always give my clients every image in color just in case!

We started out by taking a few of Joselyn while she played with her toys.  She is quick on her feet, but I managed to be quicker :)

 

After we were finished with her photos her dad took her to ride the carousel at the mall.  She gave me a big hug and kiss goodbye and I begged Jodi to let me take her home.  Unfortunately she said no :)

We were in the perfect room for a newborn session - LOTS of windows and natural light, wood floors and a pretty painted wall.  If only I had a studio so I could have a setup like this all the time!  Jodi, her sister Jamie and I had a ton of fun playing with Lilly.  Here are her newborn photos:

She has the grumpiest, squishiest face that I absolutely loved.  And those cheeks! Despite the furrowed brow, she was very happy and patient with me.  I was able to get her to drift off to la la land for a bit :)

One more that will make your heart melt....

Newborn Session | JJ

This February I gave away a newborn session.  I was SO excited when I received an email from Marissa asking "DID I GET IT?!" :)  I photographed her wedding and maternity session so it fit perfectly that she won the session.   Here is her new little guy!



Ohhh so cute - look at those eyes! You wouldn't know by the photo above, but 10 seconds before this was taken JJ was not so happy.  On goes Rhianna and suddenly the tears became a smile :)

We rolled him up into a blanket...I think he liked it!
