About a year ago I received a message from Elyse asking if we could meet up to talk about having me be her wedding photographer. I couldn't have been more excited and honored. Elyse and my sister grew up together, so I've known her since she was in preschool (I know, I sound like that family member who pinches your cheeks and tells you how big you've grown). We met at Starbucks with her soon to be husband Luke and I instantly wanted to be a part of their day. They're a perfect match for each other, and I couldn't be happier for them.
As usual, I started the day with the ladies while my 2nd shooter hung out with the guys. Check out Sherie on Facebook at Stonybrookphotography.
It had been threatening to rain all morning but I think I negotiated with mother nature pretty well. It held off until the ceremony was over and everyone was headed indoors. :) Elyse and Luke wrote their own vows and had their sisters do readings. Tears. Were. Flowing. It was beautiful!
A few more fun shots from the day....
Thankfully the rain only lasted a short while and after dinner we were able to head outdoors for portraits.
Cake cutting and dances....
And then the little ones busted a move with the rest of the guests :D
Elyse and Luke, thank you so much for having me be a part of your day. It was really nice to be able to not only watch you get married, but to be a part of your day. Hope you had a wonderful time on your honeymoon (British Columbia - AWESOME)!
Some really fantastic work on behalf of the owner of this internet site, absolutely great subject material.
